I see the value of religious beliefs. I just don’t see the value of spiritual supremacy.
I have actually been considering faith recently. You can see it in my posts about the Texas Heart Beat Act. I have some friends who are religious and some that are not. I know people who are Christian, Buddhist, and Yogi. I have actually understood a few Jews, also. The central theme in my life and faith is that I desire every person to be able to exercise whatever religion they want as long as we are at tranquility with each various other.
Most of my issues regarding religion have to do with religious domination. I see the advantages of religion. I see how people can live delighted and healthy and balanced lives with religion in their lives. I recognize exactly how religious beliefs can remind individuals of what to do when they do not recognize what to do. You know, like a routine. Yet when I review the news about the courts, and the laws that are being come on several states over voting legal rights, reproductive civil liberties, and indeed, civil liberties, I see the specter of spiritual dominance.
I’m not curious about prominence. I am not interested in dominating any individual. I do not desire power over one more individual. I don’t want that much duty. I do not want to inform anybody what to do. I just intend to live in tranquility. So when I see anybody going after prominence, I am reminded of something I claimed long back …
