Questioner (Q): In the previous concern, you stated that religious beliefs is essentially needed in spirituality, but for religious beliefs Hindus battle with Muslims, Muslims fight with Hindus. So, why is religion required?
Acharya Prashant (AP): The recorder you are talking into will obtain filled with your voice quickly, why not toss it away? The outfit that you are using will get spoiled soon, why use it in any way? The specs that you are holding, will not be there forever. They get filthy, they get broken; why use them?
Religious beliefs is not the Truth, faith is an enabler. With the exception of Truth, every little thing is ephemeral. Except for Fact, whatever costs something. With the exception of Truth, everything has its restrictions. So, religious beliefs has its limitations, but you have to thoroughly weigh the limitations against the benefits. If there were no religion, would you still being in front of me right here, like a loyal woman?
