The Weaponization of Faith and Social Values

by Peregrin Wood

When religion is experimented humility, concern, and reverence for life, it becomes a force of liberation and love. I can conceive of nothing else way religious beliefs must be exercised. No spiritual Master from Krishna to Yogananda, from Moses to Muhammad, from the Buddha to the Christ exalted satisfaction, callousness, and irreverence forever. And yet throughout history into existing time, spiritual and politicians remain to demonstrate this disconnect in between the soul’s contact us to morality and the ego’s hunger for power. The election of a leader that unashamedly stands for egotism at its worst shows a nation that has actually lost touch with its heart. This is what takes place when the forces of fear get rid of those of love at the surveys.

Religion, when seized by political ambition and corporate influence, becomes an unholy weapon– a tool of division, deceptiveness, and control. In today’s political landscape, spiritual language has been purposely hijacked to offer financial greed and authoritarian programs, deteriorating the spirit of public discussion. Moral quality is shed. This, obviously, is Greed’s objective, for it can not operate under the umbrella of principles.
